Inspired by the life of Frederick Douglass, FDP exists to empower Minnesota's underrepresented communities to build generational wealth, foster family legacies, ensure safe communities, & achieve success through self-determination using the tools of public policy & cultural impact.

The life and testimony of Frederick Douglass are the inspiration for our organization's mission - the reason we exist. He pushed our nation to live up to the universal equality promised in our country's founding documents and boldly declared the truth.
For too long, Minnesota has fed a culture of victimization and top-down governance that has devastated communities and drowned out the voices of those they claim to support. We seek to continue the work of Frederick Douglass's legacy here in our state and believe that cherishing foundational ideas like personal responsibility and equality are key to long-lasting, effective public policy that actually works.
